Celtic’s hope of getting a good rest ahead of Saturday’s Scottish Cup clash went up in smoke – after the fire alarm went off at the team’s Dundee hotel.
The stars had a rude awakening as the Malmaison was evacuated in the early hours of the morning.
A spokeswoman confirmed to the Tele that engines were called to the Malmaison in the early hours.
She said: “We were called out to the Malmaison at 1.28am. Two appliances from Blackness Fire Station were dispatched.
“It was a false alarm.”
However, Celtic went on to beat Dundee 2-0
