An early morning fire in Phoenix, Arizona, destroyed a construction site and damaged a nearby hotel on Tuesday, August 2.
The fire broke out around 3 am at a construction site, according to a local report, and the nearby Holiday Inn Express was evacuated as a precaution.
The Phoenix Fire Department reported after it had knocked down the fire around 6 am that the hotel had been damaged. The building under construction is a total loss, the local report said, with only the elevator shaft remaining.
