A blaze at a golf club in Manchester has been tackled by up to 20 firefighters.
Crews were called to Northenden Golf Club in Palatine Road at about 05:20 BST and found the two storey building “well alight”.
The club’s steward, who lives in the flat above, had evacuated the building before Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) arrived.
An investigation is under way to establish the cause.
Station manager Jon Crawley said: “When crews arrived the two storey building was well alight.
“The golf club steward had self rescued.”
