Playmobil unveils London Fire Brigade sets to teach fire safety

London Fire Brigade has also appointed their first young fire safety officer Archie Cosaitis, to head up its specialist Playmobil crew.

To help teach children about fire safety at home, Playmobil is launching limited edition London Fire Brigade versions of its fire brigade sets.

With the toys available from April, Playmobil has revealed that 10 per cent of all proceeds will be donated to the Brigade’s charities of choice.

In addition, London Fire Brigade has also appointed its first young fire safety officer to head up its specialist Playmobil crew, in celebration of its 150th anniversary.

In his new role, Archie Cosaitis will take part in 65 open days and share advice on fire safety at home.

Taking place across London from April until December, during the open days children can meet firefighters, take part in activities and play with toys from Playmobil.

Ron Dobson, London fire commissioner, said: “The 65 open days across the capital are a great opportunity for people to celebrate our birthday and interact with firefighters who do so much work protecting London every day.

“Our education team does a great job instilling fun into our fire safety advice and Archie is an important ambassador for the work we do.”
